Hull and East Yorkshire Mind is inviting people across the region to pause, unwind and make space for their mental wellbeing as it launches its first ever Wellbeing Week this August.
Taking place in the Pop Up Space in the Fruit Market and supported by Wykeland Group, the week will offer a mix of calming, creative and curiosity‑sparking activities. From breathwork, mindfulness and doodling to yoga, wellbeing walks, worry doll making and even goat yoga, the programme highlights that wellbeing looks different for everyone - and small moments of care can make a big difference.
The week finishes with the Mindful Makers Market, a relaxed celebration of local creativity and community. Visitors can browse handmade products, meet independent makers and enjoy a welcoming space designed to slow the pace and encourage connection.
Hull and East Yorkshire Mind hopes the week will remind people that mental health is something we all have - and looking after it shouldn’t be reserved for moments of crisis. By offering accessible, inclusive activities, the charity aims to inspire simple, positive steps towards better wellbeing in everyday life.
With one in four people experiencing mental health challenges each year, the charity is encouraging families, businesses and community groups to get involved, join activities, visit the market and help spread the message that prioritising our wellbeing is something we can do together.
