Humber Street Sesh has revealed its hometown headliner for 2026 - East Yorkshire singer‑songwriter Fiona‑Lee, who will take centre stage on the festival’s iconic Main Stage next summer.

Returning to Hull Marina on Saturday 1 August, the award winning grassroots festival will once again bring together more than 100 emerging artists across multiple stages, shining a spotlight on the region’s vibrant music scene and the talent it continues to nurture.

Fiona‑Lee’s relationship with Sesh is woven into her artistic journey. She first appeared on the festival’s Acoustic Stage before returning in 2025 for a standout performance on the BBC Introducing Stage. Now, she steps into the history books as the first female artist to headline the Main Stage - a milestone moment for both the festival and the local music community.

Signed to Capitol Records, Fiona‑Lee is known for her powerful live vocals, raw storytelling and indie‑rock edge - a combination that has earned her national attention and a fast‑growing fanbase. Speaking to Atwood Magazine earlier this month, she cited Bruce Springsteen, Alanis Morissette, Sinéad O’Connor and Radiohead as key influences shaping her sound.

Her acclaimed second EP, Every Woman, explores themes of resilience, identity and lived experience, with critics praising its emotional honesty and bold songwriting. Regular airplay on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 6 Music has further cemented her status as one of the UK’s most exciting emerging artists.

Fiona‑Lee’s connection to Hull’s music community runs deep. Her first headline tour earlier this year included a sold out night at the legendary New Adelphi Club, underscoring her commitment to supporting grassroots venues and the audiences that shaped her early career.

As Humber Street Sesh prepares for another unforgettable year, Fiona‑Lee’s headline slot promises a powerful homecoming performance - and a celebration of the region’s creative energy.
