Freedom Festival has officially unveiled its full 2026 programme, and it’s packed with performances, installations and experiences for all ages across Hull City Centre. From circus and dance to thought provoking artworks and family friendly shows, there’s something for everyone - and most of the programme will be free to enjoy across the weekend.
This year sees the return of a large evening event on both Friday and Saturday, featuring spectacular circus from Gorilla Circus with their new show A.I. Thentic. Tickets will be available from just £1, making it an accessible highlight for audiences.
Freedom Festival has also announced a range of ticketed performances, with more details on additional ticketed and free‑ticketed shows coming soon. Some events will require free tickets to help manage time slots and capacity, and booking information will be shared on their social channels.
There’s a brilliant offer for families this year, with shows including Rhinos, Baby Brain, Lilliput, Kismat Walla and plenty more. For those who love deeper, more reflective work, the programme includes powerful installations such as The Hate Circuit and Through the Ruins, the moving dance performance Black, and the evening spectacle A.I. Thentic. And if you’re after something playful, you’ll find The Street is Ours from Always Drinking Marching Band, the acrobatic robot Acrobot, and the mischievous trio Tom, Tom and Tom.
Circus remains at the heart of Freedom Festival. Alongside the gravity‑defying 10,000 Hours at Hull Truck Theatre, audiences can look forward to the astonishing ladder acrobatics of Beyond by Circumstances and the high energy wheel of death performance Spinsane by Racehorse Company.
