Taking over 16 acres of Walton Street car park from Friday 9 October, one of Europe’s largest travelling fairs will once again welcome visitors from across the region. This year’s event features more than 300 attractions, including high-speed thrill rides, traditional fairground favourites and over 80 rides for children.

The fair will officially open at 4pm on Friday, with the Lord Mayor of Hull, Councillor Maria Coward, ringing the bell from a waltzer ride to mark the start of the celebrations.

Among this year’s highlights are two new attractions making their Hull Fair debut: Elevate 85, currently recognised as the world’s tallest mobile ride, and the Sartori Techno Jump. Alongside the rides, visitors can enjoy more than 100 game stalls, from hook-a-duck and darts to bingo.

There will also be plenty of food options on offer, including old school desserts, Chinese barbecue street food, toasted sandwiches, loaded fries and milkshakes.

Humberside Police will maintain a visible presence throughout the event as part of ongoing efforts to ensure the fair remains a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

A number of road closures and parking restrictions will be in place from Tuesday 6 October. They can be found here.

Hull Fair runs until Saturday 17 October, with the site closed on Sunday 11 October for the Hull City Vs Everton match at MKM stadium. Opening times are 2pm to 11pm daily, with attractions opening from noon on Saturdays.

Visitors are encouraged to plan their journeys in advance, as road closures and parking restrictions will be in place around the fairground. Additional bus services and park and ride facilities will operate throughout the event, while limited parking will be available at the MKM Stadium.

Cycle parking will also be available at the Tigers Trust Arena, and temporary drone restrictions will be in place above the fairground and surrounding area as part of safety and security measures. More information can be found here.
