HEY! Volunteering is growing its work across Hull’s neighbourhoods, bringing creative support into local venues.
Community hubs across Hull will benefit from having HEY! Volunteers on site, establishing venues with regular creative workshops, coffee mornings, as well as getting involved in improving community spaces.
The programme is aimed to help boost and celebrate the fantastic cultural activity already happening in community venues in the city.
This growing, place‑based approach brings volunteers and communities together to enhance existing programmes, spark new ideas and open more opportunities for residents to get involved in culture and heritage right where they live.
Venues that will host volunteers include Western Library, Artlink, the Alf Marshall Centre and the East Hull Veterans Centre.
The scheme also supports the city’s Culture & Heritage Strategy 2025-2030 and the Community Plan, bringing more creative energy into local spaces.
HEY! Volunteers are heading into venues across Hull in the coming weeks, and will also be on hand to offer information and support on anyone wanting to find out about getting involved in volunteering.
