Hull City Council will introduce a brand new Music Cities Stage at this year’s Humber Street Sesh, delivered in partnership with Connexin Live. The stage forms part of a pilot exploring global music collaboration and Hull’s growing connections with UNESCO Creative Cities.
As part of this initiative, musicians from several UNESCO Creative Cities have been invited to perform, offering Hull audiences a chance to experience a wide mix of styles and perspectives. The project also supports Hull’s preparations for its 2027 UNESCO Creative Cities Network bid by building relationships and testing new collaborative approaches.
The stage line up includes:
-
Michael Aldag, The Kairos, Astles - Liverpool
-
Kai Reesu, Conscious Pilot, Heavyskint - Glasgow
-
Likor - Norrköping
-
Lydia Prettyman - Manchester
-
Bonneville, Flat Number Two - York
-
Deus Ego - Nottingham
The Music Cities Stage is set to be a standout moment of the festival, giving audiences a rare opportunity to hear artists from some of Europe’s most vibrant music communities.
