Community Highstreets Project Begins Phase 3

Hull City Council is moving into the third stage of its Community Highstreets programme, and residents are once again being invited to share their thoughts and ideas. This next phase will focus on four neighbourhoods - Bethune Avenue, Dalsetter Rise, Sibelius Road and Spring Bank - as part of the wider £6m investment to strengthen high streets across the city.

Launched in 2025, the project is all about helping local high streets thrive: making them safer, cleaner and greener, encouraging more people to use them, and reducing the number of empty units. Every improvement is shaped directly by community feedback, keeping the initiative firmly rooted in local voices and grassroots priorities.

To support this next stage, council teams will host a series of in person events for people who live, work or spend time in these areas - offering a chance to learn more, ask questions and help guide what happens next.
