Apply For One of Seven Commissions at Fresh Ink 2027
Applications are now open for writers with a strong connection to Hull to put themselves forward for one of seven paid commissions as part of Fresh Ink: Hull Playwriting Festival 2027.
This year’s programme mirrors the 2026 structure, offering two 70 minute commissions, two 30 minute pieces and three monologues.
Selected writers will collaborate with Middle Child to develop two drafts of their scripts, ahead of script in hand performances at next year’s festival. You won’t need to submit the script you intend to write at this stage, though they do ask for a sample of your previous work.
