Funding and Mentoring Bursary for Dance Artists
Applications are now open for the Julia Rausing Sky Arts Bursaries, offering major support for UK based dance artists developing new work. The 2027 programme, delivered by the Sky Foundation and funded by the Julia Rausing Trust, is designed to give artists the time, resources and guidance they need to push their practice forward.
This year’s bursaries centre on dance and movement‑led work. Alongside financial support, selected artists will receive tailored mentoring, masterclasses, industry introductions and opportunities to raise their national profile.
A cohort of 20 artists will be chosen. Each will receive:

£30,000 personal grant to support living costs while focusing on creative development

Up to £40,000 project funding covering collaborator fees, production needs and delivery costs
The call is open to UK based dance makers with professional experience - including choreographers, movement practitioners and artists working across any dance style or form.
