Ingram Prize Opens for Visual Artists

Have you graduated from a UK-based art school within the past 5 years?

The Ingram Prize was created by The Ingram Collection in 2016 as a way to champion emerging contemporary artists, offering meaningful support at the very start of their professional journeys.

At its core, the prize is built on the belief that early career artists need practical, hands on opportunities. Through the programme, participants gain chances to exhibit work, sell pieces, access professional development, and build both industry connections and peer networks.

Artists at the eligible stage can submit up to two works in any medium, with no size limitations and no entry fee.

Finalists will be invited to present their selected works in a group exhibition at Unit 1 Gallery | Workshop, London, running 5 - 11 November 2026.

From this exhibition, the judging panel will select three Ingram Prize winners. Founder Chris Ingram will also choose one additional work for his personal Founder’s Award. All awards will be announced at the exhibition’s opening event on Wednesday, 4 November 2026. Prizewinning works will join The Ingram Collection, and one selected artist will receive a solo exhibition opportunity at Lightbox Gallery, Woking, in 2027.

Deadline for submissions: 25 August 2026. 17:00 BST.
