How to be featured on Culture Hull

Part of Culture Hulls role is to promote and support the city's heritage and cultural sector, helping to showcase the amazing creative talent that Hull has to offer.

One of the ways we do this is through our social media channels, including Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook, where we engage both local residents and industry audiences. This often includes interviews, news updates and stories on what is happening in the city. Currently we have been using platform provided music for beds/background but we are keen to highlight and celebrate the great music currently being created in Hull and would love to feature local artists across our platforms.

If you are a creator in the city and would be happy for us to use your music in our social media content, we would appreciate receiving one or two tracks that you would be happy for us to feature.

Our use of your music would be on the following basis:

  • Full Credit Given: We will credit and tag you in any posts featuring your music, including the artist name and song title. Please provide any relevant social media handles you would like us to use.

  • Non-Commercial Use: Culture Hull and Hull City Council do not generate revenue from our social media channels. Your music would be used solely to promote cultural activity and creative talent within the city.

  • Licence free: Music would be provided on a licence free basis

  • Use as described: We would only feature your music on social posts as a backing/bed track. If we would like to use your song in any other way, we will get back in touch to discuss. 

  • Supply of a track will be considered acceptance of the above basis. Supply of a track does not guarantee inclusion on our platforms.
