Welcome to Culture and Events in the North West Area

The North West area of Hull is home to established neighbourhoods that grew alongside the city’s maritime and industrial expansion. While it isn’t defined by major museums or tourist landmarks, the area has a strong community centred culture. It’s also home to two of Hull’s most iconic grassroots music venues - the Polar Bear Music Club and The New Adelphi Club - which continue to shape the city’s independent music scene.

This page highlights what’s happening across the North West Ward, showcasing upcoming events, community initiatives, and opportunities to get involved.

The North West area includes the Avenue, Bricknell, University Beverley and Newland and Orchard Park areas.

Community Centres
